THE REQUIREMENTS
To take the Rider's EdgeŽ New Rider Course, you'll need a valid automobile driver's license or learner's permit, and to be able to ride a bicycle.

For the riding sessions, you'll need:

		Jacket - a long-sleeve jacket to protect your upper body and arms.

		Pants - jeans, chaps or leather pants for comfort and protection.

		Boots - over-the-ankle boots with a sturdy heel and non-slip soles to protect from hot exhaust pipes and debris.

		Gloves - full-fingered motorcycling gloves to protect from the elements and aid your grip of the hand controls.

		Helmet - a helmet will provide vital protection in case of an accident and cut fatigue by reducing wind noise; must meet DOT requirements.

		Eyewear - goggles or glasses to protect from the rain, dust and bugs.

THE SCHEDULE
Usually the course is scheduled 6-7 days,
Weekday sessions are held at the dealership. Saturday & Sunday field sessions will be taught
at the Family Christian Center, located at 340 45th Ave, in Munster, Indiana. Attendance at each session is mandatory if you miss a class for any reason, you'll have to reschedule so you can take the course again from start to finish. The schedule may vary

THE CARD
You will receive your Motorcycle Safety Foundation RiderCourseSM completion card after passing a multiple-choice written knowledge test and a
riding skills evaluation.
